Ante Mortem Investigations
This is primarily concerned with the analysis of body fluid samples taken from individuals suspected of having ingested a substance either deliberately or accidentally.
Summary of Analyses Conducted:
- Detection of addictive behaviours - Cannabis, cocaine, ecstasy, amphetamines, heroin, LSD, phencyclidine
- Substitution treatment to opiates - Methadone, buprenorphine
- Alcohol: high and chronic intoxication marker
- Ethanol in blood and urine by chromatography in state of gas
- Ethylglucuronide in blood, urine and hair
